Just a little pat on the back:

I was blessed to be named the winner of "Best in Show" (for the photo "The Potter's Hands) in the Arts Council of Lincoln County's Amateur Photography Competition in January of 2009.  Here is the article from the Lincoln Times-News (our local paper).

What our clients have had to say:

Jon, I made a poster size of the picture....printed in the sepia tones at 16x24...an awesome production!   Everyone was impressed and had nice comments.  I mentioned your work at the beginning and I hope you'll have some hits on the website.  When I get some extra cash, I intend to get a nice frame and lend it to the church for  a while to put in the foyer.    The depth of the color tones and message in the picture is simply priceless.  You've done a wonderful job in all areas of photography.  I'm grateful we've connected.  I'll be in touch often.  I've saved your website in my favorites file!

Thanks again sincerely for your kindnesses and contribution for a good day at Victory Assembly of God, Neosho, MO.  Again, God's blessings on your work!

OH!! OH!! I am sooooo excited to tell you what happened. We had a youth revival from Friday to Sunday. The youth minister came to our church from Indiana and was someone I had never met. As standard procedure, I offered my assistance in projecting any scripture or video. He, in fact, was planning to do a demonstration Saturday evening and asked if I could project some scripture while he did the demonstration. He had several empty glasses and a pitcher of water. He demonstrated how the water conformed to its container no matter the size or shape and compared this scenario to people in the world. People without God tend to mold to their surroundings. Then he took out a piece of clay. He formed the clay  and placed it in each of the empty glasses. The point being, no matter what container the clay was placed in, it did not change its shape. When God molds us we have consistency, definition and purpose and are not as influenced by the world like the water. Then he read Isaiah 64:8!! (Yes, he did.) I projected your potters hands with the scripture verse and almost every young person in the sanctuary went to the altar and rededicated their life. The Spirit of God was so real and I don’t think the message would have had the impact had it not been for your picture. Many adults came to me after the service. It gave me a chance to share with them how you had given me approval to use your work and how God had answered my prayer.

He is an awesome God with perfect timing. I can’t thank you enough for letting God work through you in creating such beautiful visuals. I also used the butterfly and bee. God is being praised through your work.

Praise His Holy Name!
